World Bank & DFAT Implementation Support Mission Visit to review the TSEP progress 23^rd – 24^th March 2017

The World Bank along with Australian Government  has been conducted a  Technical Review and Implementation Support Mission  for the Transforming the School Education System as the Foundation of a Knowledge Hub Project (TSEP) to the Northern Province from 23^rd  and 24^th  March 2017.

A meeting to review the progress of the project was held under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary of Northern Province A. Pathinathan on 24^th March 2017 at Ministry’s Conference Hall, Nallur. Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Cultural Affairs, Sports & Youth Affairs R.Raveenthiran, Provincial Director of Education S.Uthayakumar as well as Director School Works, School Works Engineer, Zonal Directors of Education and Deputy Directors of Education also participated.

In this meeting, progress of ESDFP indicators at the Provincial level and Zonal levels, monitoring and support for the achievement of outcomes, progress on improving the physical learning environment of schools,  procurement and financial progress  are discussed with the observations and remarks which were identified by World Bank Mission in their visit to Kilinochchi Zone on 23^rd  March 2017.
