New Education Minister assumes duties – 29th  June 2017

New Minister for Education, Cultural Affairs, Sports & Youth Affairs. Dr.Kandiah Sarveswaran assumed his duties today at his office located at Nallur, Jaffna.

Acting Secretary of Education Ministry S.Sathiyaseelan and the staff of the Ministry office welcomed the Minister at the Ministry premises in the traditional manner at the auspicious time on Thursday, 29th June 2017. A staff conference was conducted at the conference hall. Subsequently he signed the document of assuming duties.

Minister of Women Affairs, Rehabilitation, Social Service, Cooperative, Food Supply and Distribution, Industries and Enterprise Promotion Mrs.Ananthi Sasitharan, Hon. Provincial Council Member Mr.K.Sivajilingam, Assistant Secretary to the Ministry of Education Mrs. B.Abiramy, , Provincial Director of Education Mr.S.Uthaykumar, and other high ranking officials took part in the event.
