World Mental Health Day – 2015

The world mental health day is celebrated worldwide on 10th of October. The theme for this year’s world mental health day is “Dignity in Mental Health”.
In the Northern Province, World Mental Health Day 2015 was celebrated by the Provincial Department of Education and Regional Director of Health Services, Vavuniya with the collaboration of Urban Council of Vavuniya with the theme of “Dignity in Mental Health”.

Venue: Conference Hall, Urban Council, Vavuniya.
Mr. Muththu Rathakrishnan, the Additional Provincial Director of Education, NP chaired this event as the representative of the Provincial Director of Education of the Northern Province.
In this valuable occation, Hon. Dr. Pathmanathan Saththiyalingam, the Minister of Health Services of the Northern Province participated as a Chief Guest, Mr. R. Raveenthiran, Secretary to the Ministry of Education participated as Special guest. And Psychiatrists Dr.S.Sivathas, Dr.S.Suthakaran, Doctors and staff of the Vavuniya District General Hospital, Teachers, principals, students and public are also participated in this events.
