Opening ceremony of the new Multi Sports Complex in Mannar was held on 3rd October 2015. Chief Minister of the Northern Provincial Council C.V Vigneswaran participated as the Chief Guest and declared open the building.
Provincial Minister of Education Hon. T.Kurukularajah , Provincial Minister of Fisheries Hon. B. Deniswaran , Provincial members Hon Dr. Gunaseelan, Hon. Siraiva, Secretary Ministry of Education Mr.R.Raveenthiran, Government Agent Mannar, Divisional Secretary Mannar, Zonal Director of Education Mannar, Director of Sports Northern Province participated as special guest.
This building which were constructed at 35 million fund on Provincial Specific Development Grant (PSDG) for three years. This is the only one indoor complex in Northern Province.
